How to Unfollow on Instagram

Occasionally, you might come across Instagram accounts that don’t follow you back. It’s frustrating and makes you wish for an easy way to identify and remove them. Fortunately, Combin can help you detect and unfollow these users either selectively or in bulk.

Download and Launch Combin Growth

First, download Combin Growth, which is available for Mac, PC, and Linux. After installing, launch the application and log in with your Instagram account. Rest assured, Combin does not collect or share your sensitive information. Instagram’s two-factor authentication is supported.

Accessing Non-Followers

Once logged in, navigate to the Users tab to see all the accounts you follow. Click on Not followers to view a list of users who don’t follow you back. This helps you quickly identify and manage your followers.

Unfollowing Users

Select all the non-followers and click the Unfollow button to mass-unfollow them. The task will be created and started automatically by the application, and you can monitor its progress in the Tasks tab. Note that tasks are processed gradually to prevent account bans due to sudden activity spikes.

Managing Task Intensity

To speed up tasks, you can change the processing intensity to Risky mode. However, it’s advisable to use this mode sparingly as continuous use may lead to faster limit reaches and potential account bans.

Unfollowing on Mobile and Web

If you prefer using Instagram’s native features, you can also unfollow users directly through the mobile app or website.

Understanding Unfollowing

Unfollowing someone means you stop receiving updates from their profile. They won’t be notified when you unfollow them, so you can manage your feed without any concerns. If you change your mind later, you can re-follow them anytime. Additionally, you have the option to remove followers from your account as well.

Clean Up Your Feed

Whether you use third-party tools like Combin or the native Instagram features, managing your followers can help keep your feed relevant and enjoyable. Now you know how to unfollow on Instagram, ensuring you see updates only from accounts that matter to you.
